This is A Christmas Carol, a walking audio story created in the winter of 2020 by Ondervinden. The text is by Charles Dickens, abridged by Elske Waite, and is read to you by Jonathan Ip.
This audio story was originally designed to be listened to whilst walking a specific route around a small village in Wiltshire. This public version of the audiobook lasts 55 minutes and we recommend finding your own favourite route to walk while listening. However, if you prefer, or if the weather is miserable, you may just as easily listen to this story from the comfort of your own armchair.
So get wrapped up and waterproofed, or light a candle and find a cushion, and we hope you enjoy listening to this story.
When this ghostly tale was originally published, public donations to charities and organisations helping those in need soared to record figures. We hope that his message feels to you now, in 2020, as important and urgent as it did to readers in 1843. We have selected three charities whose work we feel is of the upmost importance, and ask that you consider donating to one of these organisations. Their links can be found below.
We would like to wish you all a very merry festive season and the best wishes for a bright new year.
